Is IBPS CLERK exam is more difficult than IBPS PO exam?

It is very difficult to say which examination is tougher- IBPS Clerk or IBPS PO examination. But yes, after the comparison of many factors and elements, we can say that IBPS Clerk is slightly difficult than IBPS PO examination. Though the level of IBPS Clerk exam is much lower than that of IBPS PO examination following factors make it more challenging: -
  • Level of examination – As the syllabus of both the examination is almost similar, the level of question asked in IBPS Clerk examination are from basic education and generally less calculative as compared to that of IBPS PO examination. So, you should be perfect in your basic education.
  • The number of seats available – The vacancies or seats in the clerical exam of IBPS is state wise whereas in IBPS PO examination it is country (INDIA) based. As IBPS Clerical exam also have criteria of local language, interested candidates are limited to their state only, they cannot apply others. Whereas interested candidates of IBPS PO can apply anywhere.
  • CUT-OFF Criteria – It is the section which makes IBPS Clerk examination slighter difficult form IBPS PO. Generally, the cut off of IBPS Clerk examination is always high from IBPS PO examination every year. Candidates have to score more percentage than IBPS PO if they wish to crack the examination
As the comparison is done and you can see the difference in the examination, it is very difficult to consider which is more difficult. but yes, it is definite that IBPS PO being an officer cadre exam will always be on a higher level than IBPS Clerk examination.
