How to Become Master in Reasoning for Banking Exams


Reasoning Section plays a significant role in the Banking PO and Clerk Exam. It is highly scoring when compared to other subjects and thus, can easily push your overall score. Many students have a question in their mind that what should be their approach to attempt reasoning section in banking exams. We all know that day by day, level of the exam is increasing and the student must be ready for the higher level for the upcoming banking exams 2020.

1. Breakup of time period in reasoning Section for Banking Exam

In prelims exam to complete reasoning
  • 35 questions in 20 minutes
In mains exam to complete reasoning and computer aptitude
  • 50 questions in 45 minutes

3. Daily Time scheduling while doing Banking Exam Preparation

  • All the aspirants who are willing to crack the exam are advised to study hard and manage some time for practicing Reasoning on daily basis. 
  • Give at least 3 hours daily to Reasoning Practice.

  • Also, save 15-30 minutes for Revision daily.
  • Take each topic one by one and you can complete 2 topics in maximum 3 days. So, manage your time accordingly.
  • Also take mock test and solve previous year question papers.
  • Now practice more and more as practice is the key to score good marks.
  • We recommend that you meditate for at least 10 minutes in the morning, as it is more beneficial than solving 4 puzzles daily.


4. How to attempt reasoning Questions on Time during Exams?


In Prelims:
Instead of solving long questions such as Puzzles or Seating Arrangement, you can take short questions first and solve them as much as possible.
In Mains:
You get 40 minutes to solve 50 questions. But instead of thinking of solving all the 50 questions, your focus should be on solving one question in one minute with accuracy.
Also keep the negative marking in mind.
Easy and Scoring Questions:
The topics included are: - Syllogisms, Blood Relations, Inequalities, Directions, Data Sufficiency Questions of Reasoning, Rows and Verbal Logical Deduction
Time-Consuming Questions:

5. Practice

Reasoning is all about common sense and thus, you can't read it or learn it, you have to develop it.
