Preliminary Exam Pattern: SBI Clerk 2020 preliminary exam has 100 objective questions which need to be solved within 1 hour. The exam is of 100 marks. The various sections of the exam are the English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.

  • Keep track of your time to solve this section.
  • Quantitative Aptitude is the most important section of this exam

Reasoning:

  • Classification: Easiest to solve.
  • Arrange words in Logical Order: It is easy to solve if your basics are strong.
  • Syllogism: Draw Venn Diagrams to make it easier to solve questions.
  • Verbal Analogies: A Good vocabulary will help you solve this section with ease.
  • Analysis and Judge: Questions of the topics like blood relation, Direction, Height, and Sequence.
  • Numerical Operations: Learn all formula so that you have them at your fingertips.
  • Coding-Decoding: Coding-Decoding are tricky, so practice this section well.
  • Non- Verbal Reasoning: Spatial Reasoning, mirror image, Pictorial Analogies, Symbol series, symbolic operations, numeric patterns, spatial relations, space visualizations, and space image are examples of questions.
  • Matrix and puzzles: The sections tests creative way of thinking.

 English Section:

  • Just like Rome was not built in a day, English too cannot be learned in a day.
  • Read Books, Magazines, and newspapers regularly.
  • Use grammar books to improve grammar.
  • Reading is helpful for solving cloze test.
  • Write an essay and one letter every day.
  • Solve more Reading Comprehension questions to score good in English section.
