RBI Assistant 2020 Exam Pattern and syllabus

As we know that RBI has announced 926 vacancies of RBI-Assistant 2019. Here we will discuss the RBI Assistant exam pattern and syllabus. RBI assistant exam will be conducted in two phases. Those candidates who have cleared the Mains exam will take the language proficiency test.

A.RBI Assistant Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary examination is of one-hour duration and is conducted online. It has 3 sections – English language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. There are total 100 questions which carries 100 marks. The section-wise details are given below:

RBI Assistant Prelims Exam Syllabus 2019-20

RBI Assistant Prelims exam will be held online in an objective format. The exam consists of three sections – Numerical Ability, Reasoning and English Language. The total time duration of the Prelims exam is 60 minutes wherein 20 minutes is allotted for each section. B.RBI Assistant Mains Exam Pattern

RBI Assistant 2019 mains exam is of 135 minutes duration and is conducted online. It has 5 sections - Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. There are total 200 questions which carries 200 marks. The candidates need to attempt the sections in the same order within the allotted time fixed by the examining body. The section-wise details are given below:

RBI Assistant Mains Exam Syllabus 2019-20

The mains exam has five sections: Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. The candidates must attempt the sections in the same order and within the allotted time fixed by the examining body. The candidate can’t leave the existing section before the time allotted. The next section can only be attempted after the current section is completed. There is a negative marking with a deduction of 1/4th marks for every mistake.

C. Language Proficiency Test (LPT):

The candidates provisionally selected from the Mains examination will undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned.
Note: - Candidate not proficient in the Official / Local Language shall be disqualified.

Changes introduced in RBI Assistant Exam 2020

This time like other banking examinations, RBI has introduced sectional timing in prelims as well. Now aspirants have to face sectional timing in both preliminary and mains examination. LPT round will also be conducted for the students applying from another state which is qualifying in nature.
