Preparation strategy for SBI PO Exam 2018

State Bank of India conducts SBI PO Exam and it is one of the most competitive exams in public sector. More than 20 lakh candidates appear every year in this exam and only 2 to 3 thousand ace it. The reason for the low pass percentage is that most of the aspirants do not prepare thoroughly for the exam. It makes the exam a hard nut to crack. In case candidates make a proper study strategy to prepare for SBI PO Exam then it will be easy for them to clear the exam.

Study plan for SBI PO Exam preparation

  1. Know everything about the exam. It is very important to know the exam pattern and syllabus of the exam before you start the exam preparation.
  2. Practice for accuracy before you aim at speed.
  3. Master all the sections to have confidence which the ultimate key to crack the exam.
  4. Improve your learning by short listing your weak topics.
  5. Join online test series and attempt at least one mock test every day.
  6. While practicing mock tests pick the easy questions first. It makes the candidate feel confident and he or she will be able to answer accurately.
  7. Solve previous year question papers to understand the difficulty level of the examination. Know your strengths and weaknesses and try to evade the gap.
  8. Practice important topics from the examination point of view such as DI, Inequalities, Data Sufficiency, etc. in Quantitative Aptitude, Syllogism, Inequalities, Puzzle Test, Seating Arrangement Puzzles, Statement-Inferences, Statement-Courses of Action, etc. in Reasoning and then Comprehension Test, Finding the error, Jumbled Sentences, Sentence Connectors, Paragraph Completion, Fillers, Cloze Test, etc in English language section. 
  9. Do not be jack of all the trades while learning rather master some topics thoroughly to develop confidence and positivity in your mind.
  10. Enhance your level of awareness to increase your speed by practicing the latest tricks to solve the problems.
  11. Learn short tricks and methods using concepts not blindly following them.
  12. Make extensive notes of the topics which are difficult to understand. Revise them daily so that you are able to retain till the exam.
  13. Give equal importance to all the subjects so that you are able to prepare them well for the exam. Questions are unpredictable therefore one should not rely on selective study.
  14. Follow competitive notes to learn the concepts rather than picking randomly from anywhere. Pick the basics first and then reach the learning level.
